The RTITB Reach Truck operator training course will refresh your skills to operate the lift truck safely and efficiently, carry out a pre-use inspection, and recall and explain the causes of lift truck and load instability.

Our RTITB Forklift Training Course Reach Refresher is available for those operators with previous training, who wish to renew their certification to use the Reach truck. The RTITB Reach Refresher Course will include theory instruction and assessment followed by practical operator training and assessment which will comply with the standard laid down in accordance with the HSE code of practice L117.

Upon completion of the course all operators will receive a certificate that is valid for 3 years and be fully accredited to operate a Reach truck in a workplace with written authorisation.

L117 - Rider-operated lift trucks (ACOP & Guidance)
Care of Batteries/Diesel/LPG trucks
Lifting Principals
Stability factors
Principals of counterbalance fork lift trucks
Steering operations - forward & reverse
Steering operations in confined areas
Pallet handling; picking up, setting down, transporting
Stacking and de-stacking loads at different heights (Various methods)
Vehicle loading & un-loading procedures
Daily maintenance checks
Satisfactory completion of Practical and Theory based assessment
